THIS IS A FULL DAY CLASS

Spend a day fishing, exploring, and learning the Jemez watershed. Your time will be split between Fenton Lake for some stillwater fun and one of the nearby tributaries for some small stream lessons and maybe a Rio Grande Cutthroat or two!

Fenton Lake is formed by a man made dam on the Rio Cebolla. There are thirty acres of fish filled water. Fenton Lake is stocked regularly with catchable sized Rainbow Trout and is also home to some very large lake-bred Brown Trout. The Seven Springs Fish Hatchery, just up the road, occasionally stocks Rio Grande Cutthroats from its brood area.

The East Fork of the Jemez River flows south and east out of the Valles Caldera and joins with the San Antonio River at Battleship Rock to form the Jemez River.

Topics covered in this class will be:

*casting

*flies

*setting the hook

*reading water

*and plenty more...

Further details will be emailed upon sign-up.
